Terms of use

JustePart — general terms of use and sale — last updated: 21 October 2026

This English version is provided for convenience. The French version is the only legally binding one; in the event of any discrepancy, it prevails.

In short. JustePart is a tool to manage your budget, on your own or as a couple. The everyday budget is free, with no time limit. Couple+ is a paid option that adds features; a single purchase covers your household, and it is paid for, managed and cancelled in your phone’s app store (Google Play or the App Store). You have 14 days to change your mind (section 7). The figures are the ones you enter: JustePart helps you see clearly, it doesn’t give you financial advice. Your data is described in our Privacy policy.

1. Legal notice — who publishes JustePart

The JustePart app and the justepart.com website are published by Julien Schaettel, a sole trader (entrepreneur individuel, listed in the register as “SCHAETTEL Julien, Pascal”) under the French micro-entreprise scheme. Declared activity: the design, development and publishing of mobile and software applications for the general public.

Business address: 55 rue Pasteur, 93000 Bobigny, France.
Contact: contact@justepart.com.
Registration: RCS Bobigny 130 465 511, registered on 28 September 2026 with the registry of the Bobigny commercial court. As a sole trader, there is no share capital.
VAT: VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French tax code (small business exemption); the publisher has no EU VAT number.
Publication director: Julien Schaettel.

Host: OVH SAS, a French société par actions simplifiée with a share capital of €50,000,000, 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France — RCS Lille Métropole 424 761 419, www.ovhcloud.com. The server (a VPS) is in Gravelines; the backups, encrypted before they leave the machine, are in Strasbourg. The site and the servers stay in France.

The everyday budget is free. The paid Couple+ option is sold in the app; its terms of sale — price, duration, renewal, cancellation, withdrawal and guarantee — are set out in sections 5 to 7.

2. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the use of the JustePart app and, where applicable, the purchase of Couple+. By creating an account or continuing past the sign-in screen, you confirm that you have read and accept them. By purchasing Couple+, you also accept the terms of sale in sections 5 to 7, which can be accessed from the purchase screen. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the service.

JustePart is intended for individuals, for personal and non-professional use. It is reserved for adults.

3. The service

JustePart lets you track your income, expenses, envelopes and savings and, for a couple, share a joint budget — with or without a joint account — while keeping a personal space.

The figures, categories and splits shown are calculated from the information you enter. JustePart doesn’t connect to any bank and doesn’t carry out any financial transaction: no payment, transfer or investment related to your budget goes through the app. The only possible payment is the purchase of Couple+, collected by the app store (section 6).

4. Your account

Your account is created without a password, in one of two ways:

You agree to use an address that belongs to you and not to share your sign-in links: anyone who opens a sign-in link gets into the matching account. If you think someone else has accessed your account, sign out and write to us.

A household brings together two people at most. Joining someone’s household, through an invitation, shares the joint budget with them; your personal space remains yours.

5. Free, and Couple+

What stays free, with no time limit: recording expenses and income, the shared household budget, envelopes, savings and the month’s analysis. There is no advertising and no selling of data.

What Couple+ adds, for the whole household:

This list is shown on the Couple+ screen of the app before any purchase. It may change under the conditions of section 12.

One purchase for the household. Couple+ is purchased by one member of the household; both accounts linked to the household benefit from it, each on their own phone. If the purchaser leaves the household, the other member loses access to Couple+ at that moment, unless they have an active purchase of their own.

If Couple+ ends. When a subscription ends, nothing you have entered is deleted: the Couple+ features close, your data stays, and everything comes back if you take Couple+ again.

You are never charged without a purchase you have explicitly confirmed in the app store.

6. Price, payment, renewal and cancellation

Couple+ is offered in three plans, with no free trial:

These are the prices for France, all taxes included; VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French tax code (CGI). The price that applies is the one shown in the store at the time of purchase, in your currency: outside France, the store sets the price in your currency and applies local taxes to it. The currencies offered in JustePart’s settings are only used to display your budget and have no effect on the price of Couple+.

Payment is processed by Google Play or the App Store, depending on the store you installed JustePart from, using the payment method you have registered there. JustePart never sees your payment method. The store sends you the purchase confirmation; its own terms apply to the payment.

Renewal. The monthly and yearly plans are subscriptions with tacit renewal: at the end of each period, the subscription renews automatically for a period of the same length, at the price then in force, and the store charges that price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The next renewal date can be seen at any time in the store.

Cancelling. You can cancel whenever you like, free of charge and without giving a reason, in the store — JustePart cannot do it for you:

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: Couple+ stays open until that date, and no renewal is charged afterwards. The period already started is not refunded, except where you exercise your right of withdrawal (section 7), in the event of a lack of conformity (section 7) or where the store grants a refund.

A price increase never applies to a period already paid for. For an ongoing subscription, the store notifies you of it in advance, under its own rules, and you can cancel before it applies.

The lifetime purchase is a one-time payment: it does not renew and there is nothing to cancel. “Lifetime” means for the lifetime of the JustePart service (section 12).

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription: you also need to cancel it in the store (section 11).

7. Right of withdrawal and guarantee

You buy Couple+ at a distance: you have a right of withdrawal of 14 days from the purchase (article L. 221-18 of the French Consumer Code, Code de la consommation), without having to give a reason or pay any penalty. This period applies to all three plans, even if Couple+ opened as soon as you bought it.

How to withdraw. Before the period ends, inform us of your decision by an unequivocal statement:

Refund. All sums paid are refunded to you no later than 14 days after we receive your request, to the payment method used for the purchase. As the payment was collected by the store, it is the store that carries out the refund: for a purchase on Google Play, we order it ourselves; for a purchase on the App Store, only Apple can issue a refund, and if the store does not act on a request made within the period, write to us: we will take care of it. Couple+ then closes; your data stays.

Withdrawal form (to be completed only if you wish to withdraw):

To Julien Schaettel, JustePart, 55 rue Pasteur, 93000 Bobigny, France — contact@justepart.com:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for Couple+ set out below:
— plan: ………… — ordered on: …………
— name: ………… — email address of the JustePart account: …………
— date: ………… — signature (only if this form is sent on paper).

Legal guarantee of conformity. Couple+ is a digital service: you benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (articles L. 224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). For the whole duration of the subscription — and, for the lifetime purchase, for as long as the service is supplied — Couple+ must work as described. In the event of a defect, write to us (section 15): we will fix it within a reasonable time, free of charge. If we cannot, you may obtain a price reduction or the termination of the contract, with a refund. Updates needed for Couple+ to keep working properly are provided to you free of charge.

8. What JustePart is not

JustePart is a budget management tool. The reports, scores, forecasts, envelope suggestions and splits it offers are indications calculated from what you enter. They are not financial advice, investment advice, or legal or tax advice, and they don’t replace the opinion of a professional.

You alone decide what to do. The accuracy of the results depends on the accuracy of the information entered; we cannot be held liable for a decision taken on the basis of incomplete or incorrect figures.

9. Your commitments

In the event of a serious breach, we may suspend or close the account concerned, after informing you whenever possible.

10. Your data

Your budget is stored on your phone, in an encrypted database. The joint budget is copied to our servers, in France, to be shared with your partner, and your personal space is backed up with your account on those same servers: your partner can’t access it, and we don’t look at it. The details of the data processed, how long it is kept and your rights are set out in the Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

You remain the owner of the information you enter. You can keep a copy of it at any time (Settings › My data).

11. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings › Account › “Delete my account”, or by writing to contact@justepart.com. Deleting the account does not cancel an ongoing Couple+ subscription: cancel it as well in the app store where you took it out (section 6). The data on your phone stays there until you erase it (Settings › My data › “Erase everything on this device”) or uninstall the app. The steps, and the detail of what is erased and how long it takes, are on the Delete your account page.

12. Availability and changes to the service

The app works offline; a connection is only needed to create the account, share the joint budget, back up your personal space and check the subscription. We do our best to keep the servers available, without being able to guarantee uninterrupted availability: maintenance, updates or incidents may suspend it temporarily.

The service may change: features may be added, modified or removed. A change will not deprive a subscriber, during the period already paid, of the essence of what they bought. For a lifetime purchase, should an essential feature of Couple+ have to be removed, we inform purchasers at least thirty days in advance. During a testing phase, access to the service may be limited to invited people.

Should JustePart close down, we would let you know at least thirty days in advance, so that you can keep a copy of your data; this also applies to lifetime purchasers.

13. Liability

We are responsible for the proper performance of the service under the conditions provided by law. We cannot be held liable in the event of force majeure, the act of a third party (in particular Apple, Google or your mobile operator), or use that does not comply with these terms. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you hold under the mandatory provisions of consumer law.

14. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated, in particular to keep up with changes to the service or the law. The new version is published at this address with its date; in the event of a significant change, you are informed in the app before it applies. If you don’t accept it, you can stop using the service and delete your account.

15. Complaints

For any complaint, write to contact@justepart.com: we answer as quickly as we can.

If a written complaint sent to contact@justepart.com has not settled the dispute, you may refer it, free of charge, to the consumer mediator the publisher belongs to (article L. 612-1 of the French Consumer Code), within one year of that complaint: MCP — Médiation de la Consommation & Patrimoine, 12 square Desnouettes, 75015 Paris, France — mcpmediation.org (online referral, in French).

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and failing an amicable solution, the French courts have jurisdiction; as a consumer, you may bring the matter before the court of the place where you lived when the contract was concluded or when the harmful event occurred.
